When School's Out, the Y Is In
Whether the bell rings at 3 PM or school is closed for a holiday, the YMCA of Klamath Falls has a safe, fun, and structured place for your child to be. Our After School and School Release programs are held at our Youth Development Center — the YMCA at Fairview — at 1017 Donald Street. Every day is filled with homework time, enrichment activities, swimming, and a USDA-approved snack, all guided by staff who live out the Y’s core values of caring, respect, responsibility, and honesty. We offer two options to fit your family’s needs: our daily After School Care program and our drop-in School Release days for holidays and teacher workdays.
After School Care
Our After School Care program is designed for kindergartners through 6th graders who need a reliable, enriching place to be each afternoon. Kids enjoy a structured mix of activities in a warm, encouraging environment, including:
- Daily homework time
- USDA-approved Super Snack
- Weekly swimming
- Art, science, sports, and fitness activities
- Character development based on YMCA core values
A $25 registration fee applies. Monthly cost: $264 for Y Members / $327 for Community.
School Release Days
No school? No problem. Our School Release program covers holiday breaks, teacher workdays, and everything in between — so your family always has a plan. Kids enjoy a full day of swimming, sports, games, arts, and science at our Youth Development Center, with breakfast, lunch, and a snack included. Pre-registration is required for all School Release days. Pricing and reservation details:
- Daily cost: $40/day for Members / $45/day for Community
- A non-refundable $10 deposit is required at the time of reservation
- An additional $10 fee applies for walk-in drop-off
- The balance is due on the actual school release day
